I am a graduate [MBBS 1991] and postgraduate [MD Internal Medicine 1999] of Armed Forces Medical College [AFMC], Pune, India. I was Associate Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, at time of my release from Armed Forces Medical Services on completion of 22 years commissioned service. I started my specialist appointments as a Clinical Tutor in Department of Internal Medicine, AFMC, followed by specialist tenures at various Armed Forces hospitals with 50 – 75% of my clinical time being spent in Critical Care. My subsequent appointments were as Chief Intensivist at Terna Sahaydri Speciality Hospital, Navi Mumbai; Consultant Intensivist at Asian Heart Institute, Mumbai; Consultant Intensivist at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai; Chief Intensivist followed by Additional Director Critical Care & Head Emergency Medicine at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai; Vice-President, Reliance Industries Limited w.e.f. 03 June 2022. Some of my salient accomplishments are enlisted in the following sub-paragraphs.
